These following photographs show the Top Hat I created for a SOBS Retreat Weekend. The lady who organised the Retreat decided to have a “Tiara and Top Hats” theme for the Saturday evening dinner. I first of all thought I couldn’t take part, but then I got to thinking “Well I won’t be wearing a normal top hat, I am attending these Retreats because of Darren, why not create something to memorialise Darren”. So I made this top hat out of card and painted it in Darren’s favourite colour, orange and then stuck various pictures and pin badges on and I won first prize (a copy of the book “Grumpy Old Men”) for my effort.

At another SOBS Weekend Retreat organised by the Gloucester group, they did a display of all the names that were being remembered that weekend. The first photograph shows the table and the second one is the display they did for Darren.
